Simple sentence
Rule - 1
A
simple sentence consists of a main clause with one subject and a predicate.
For example
Ramu went
to the market to buy fruits.
Subject Predicate
("Ramu" is subject, "went to the market to buy fruits" is predicate.)
Junaid is
a good boy.
Subject Predicate
("Junaid" is subject, "is a good boy" is
predicate.)
Rule - 2
A
simple sentence consists of a main clause and a phrase. The phrases are like "in spite of, in case of, because of, despite"
etc.,
For example
In spite of hard working, my sister did not get a good job.

Complex Sentence
A
complex sentence consists of one main clause and one or more subordinate
clauses joined by subordinate conjunctions. (though,
although, since, as, when, after, no sooner, because etc.,)

Compound Sentence
A
compound sentence consists of two or more than two main clauses joined by the
coordinate conjunctions. (and, but, yet, still, so, or, therefore, or else
etc.,)
For example

Though, Although, But, Yet, Still

Note: Despite and in spite of have the same meaning, (but we do
not use ‘in’ or ‘of’ with despite).
